No-Drill Cellular Shades Installation Guide

Install your no-drill cellular shade in five steps, with clear diagrams to guide you.

Inside mount only. Tension-fit installation, not adhesive.

Check your hardware first.
This guide applies to the no-drill cellular shade mechanism shown below. It does not cover drilled brackets or outside mounting. If your hardware looks different, contact us before installing.

Before you start

Check the package: 1 hex screwdriver.

Review the steps and match the pictured mechanism to your shade before beginning.

Hex screwdriver supplied for the no-drill safety lock.

Install your shade

  1. STEP 1 OF 5

    Position the headrail

    Put one side of the headrail against the window frame.

    Place one end of the cellular shade headrail against the inside of the window frame.
  2. STEP 2 OF 5

    Secure the shade

    Press the tension spring mechanism and push the shade into the window opening, making sure it is level.

    Press the tension spring at the opposite end and fit the headrail level inside the opening.
  3. STEP 3 OF 5

    Remove the rubber plug

    Remove the rubber plug to access the safety lock.

    Remove the rubber plug from the end of the headrail to expose the safety lock.
  4. STEP 4 OF 5

    Lock the mechanism

    Turn the safety lock counterclockwise until you hear a click, then press the rubber plug back into place.

    Use the hex screwdriver to turn the safety lock counterclockwise, as shown by the original direction arrow.
  5. STEP 5 OF 5

    Installation complete

    Your shade is installed. If a separate handle is supplied, follow the instructions below.

IF SUPPLIED

Attach the separate handle

For the insert-in handle supplied with cellular shades.

  1. Find the slot in the center of the bottom rail.
  2. Insert the handle's "feet" into the slot.

Fabric care: Do not use alcohol to clean the fabric.

Insert the two feet of the cellular shade handle into the slot in the center of the bottom rail.
